I wanted to breed my beagle because of his unique coloring, but the second I found out he has epilepsy I got him fixed because I do not want that being passed on even through accidental breeding if he were to get loose or something
I beleive it is a given right for animals to breed and that it is immoral to take that from them It would be like them haveing you as a pet and takeing that from you.
I had a friend who had her own stud. She gelded every one of his colts(born from her mares)because none of them had personalities she wanted passed on. And when you have 7 mares, keeping 5 Stallions around is not exactly wise especially when they're mom and son. They all made good cow horses and reiners though
The amount of people I have met who were horrified that I wanted to neuter my dog is really disturbing. It was always, "You don't want little minis of him running around?!" No, absolutely not. I don't.
Typically, if an animal is fixed, it doesn't have the qualities someone wants in breeding stock. Just because it has four legs and is fertile doesn't mean it needs to have babies
Athena I understand that, but still. I'm not saying gelding/spaying/neutering isn't necessary, but if you fix an animal, then plan on breeding in the future, then you can't. And, while yes, stallions can be aggressive, not all of them are. Not all stallions need to be gelded to, as people claim to say, 'Mellow out'.
Also with so many horses being neglected or needing homes (or any animal for that mater) most animals are fixed to prevent more or that animal being put into the system. That is why there are so many strays everywhere
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.

Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
