| Any dog breed has the capacity to be aggressive and/or the sweetest thing alive. As long as research and proper training is done, I think anyone could get just about anything for a family pet. |

| Grandparents had a chow mix when I was a kid. His name was "Bear". SHort for "Teddy Bear" because he was a damned big ole sweety. |

| As in, I've meet a for Golden Retrievers that were wacky idiots that I wouldn't want around kids, And I've also meet protection type dogs that were lovely and lovable. |

| Hell, I had a Chow cross back in the day, and she was the mildest dog I'd ever encountered. Still is, to this day, honestly. |

| I've seen aggressive goldens, so it really all comes down to individual dogs, the owners and their situation. a border collie could be a perfect dog for an active family |
