Fossil's Dreams |
It is? yes I'd go more professional |
Wolf Dancer |
I want it to be formal enough they are impressed but not to the point where they are like she just used Chat GPT since it's super formal |
The Old Gods |
like, if it was just a barn, you'd probably be fine with being a bit more casual, but that looks like a vet clinic |
FirstLightFarms |
OH it's a vet place. I thought it was a normal barn. Nevermind ignore me please |
Fossil's Dreams |
to be fair, I think Wolf is doing it right. Especially ambitious for a junior in high school. |
Wolf Dancer |
-Click- This is their site I'm mostly applying to do what Puck said shovel poop for money lol that or just walking horses or doing tasks like cleaning tack and such |
Revel Ranch |
I think it depends on the job. For example, when I applied to be a teacher at an equine therapy center I tried to be as professional as possible with my resume and cover letter. |
Cappuccino |
Oh nice! We're all old school here, no large animal vets here even. But bless one of the small animal docs, hes always game to help out where and when needed |
The Old Gods |
I think it'd really depend on the vibe of the place, but I think it'd be safer to lean more on the professional side than to go casual. |
FirstLightFarms |
I mean it depends on the situation but I've never made a resume until I got involved in the publishing world |
Wolf Dancer |
Puck Wait really? I do have a cover letter/resume I can/will submit if I get a response I just want to email this place the best way possible |
Revel Ranch |
@Wolf, you might try ChatGPT to give you some ideas on how a cover letter will sound. Ask it to type one up for you to get an idea. |
Wolf Dancer |
Eury Ok! Thank you! I did change it and I think I'm going to send it now >.> |
FirstLightFarms |
I'm going to disagree there. If it's a casual barn environment, and wolf is just sending a random email, it doesn't need to be super professional. Every job in the equine industry I've gotten has been from me randomly emailing and/or calling and/or showing up and being like hi hello will shovel shit for money |
Cappuccino |
Yes I'm stoked for her! And to see that the stallion has produced so nicely too has me over the moon. Heres to successful breedings and foalings <3 |
The Old Gods |
Like, this is from my cover letter: Thank you for the opportunity to apply for the pharmacist role at your company. After reviewing your job description, itâs clear that youâre looking for a candidate who is extremely familiar with the responsibilities associated with this role, and can perform them confidently. |

I'm really freaking lucky to live in horse area so I'm just bringing the mares down to ocala and dropping them off at a reproductive vet and letting them do all the work. I have no idea what the fuck I'm doing |
Cappuccino |
Andddddd *potentially* if we get creative and figure out how to bring in semen....maybe breed her down the road. But that's a lot of moving parts with that. |
