I know I have too. Stashing money sounds like a good idea and I still haven't told my parents I'm terrified they are going to get too involved and make it hard/ uncomfortable if he comes around with them knowing the situation. I still to this day struggle with relationship and trust because of that situation, and seeing him loyal to another when he wasnt to me, and seeing the rock on her finger and being constantly reminded of him and their relationship (by ppl we both know) sucks- but I am stronger and happier because I decided to leave.
And if you can't leave now, start stashing away money (if you haven't already) so you can be in a better spot when you are able to leave and start fresh

I went through a similar situation with my situation when I was in my twenties, (im 31) and I stayed because I had step kids.. being in a toxic relationship because of one thing or another isnt healthy girl. Fight for your cats and your stuff. I had to fight my ex over my cat (he said he was taking her and I said over my dead body.. and he knew I was crazy LOL).. but you have to put you first in situations like that.
