Honestly, having thick curtains can help immensely. I put styrofoam blocks in the windows to help block out the sunlight since my windows face east/west and that significantly helps with the temps
Yes!! I hang thick blankets over the windows and doors through the hottest months of the year, and then the coldest days of the year (since Texas windows really dont have anything winter proof) and it helps massively.
Without an AC my house stays at a nice 70-80 degrees until about 8pm, then it gets really hot. But it's cool because I can just leave windows and doors open at night and by morning it will be all cold again.
I think I would die with an AC on 80.. Ours is set at 72. Ive lived in both Oklahoma and Texas on and off, and I simply cant imagine anything above 75 in these hot ass summers. Bless you Eury, because holy shit.
