we use the flat halters on the babies at work, find the rope has more bite than is needed for babies plus im more comfortable leaving a flat halter with a leather strap on a baby than i am a rope, ropes so abrasive, i only use it on my older experienced horses and even then i only use mule tapes
Hummer, I have trained quite a few young horses and older and i honestly would never use a regular halter. Always rope halters. And not the ones with multiple knots, there is no need for it. A regular rope halter is just fine :)
Lol that's exactly why I use them for that. I don't like leaving horses tied up with them though because I had a mare rub her nose raw somehow. It wasn't tight I think she was just antsy and needed a distraction
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
