Ven, kids will usually pick the Golden Retriever or Labrador. My cousin now has a Border-Lab mix that her girls are a bit older (12 and 7) and I'm glad shes's letting them grow up with a dog. I wasn't allowed bigger pets in my household despite my dad being a vet (and the hamsters were only there after my friends gifted me one for my birzhday).
