@Glacier, I know. <3 He has a vet appointment at the end of septmember for vaccines and I was going to ask them then. Don't really feel like paying $100 before then for advice on his weight though. =/
I remember hearing about a clinic who had an unqualified vet nurse running the clinic's cat weight loss programme. She had cats coming back to her, dead, within months of loosing weight because the vet didn't know too quick of weight loss can cause death. Poor kitties.
I work at a shelter. Please feel free to PM me for advice, but always go to a *vet* specifically when it comes to weight loss. Too extreme of changes can cause the cat major health issues
Keep using that, and keep weighing him. Check in with a vet as you have more of a graph on his weight. Do not use weight loss food without a genuine vet agreement, see what they have to say first
@Versa, well when I adopted him in May he was definitely overweight and the vet agreed. I put him on purina and didn't free feed him like his foster, but he still gained a pound. I learned that purina was high calorie so I switched him to something lower in calories.
Give him half a cup in the morning and half at night. And weigh him. Just keep checking the weight. Don't make major diet changes without watching the weight, or you won't know what helps or doesn't.
Do not use weight control food unless you're told to by a vet, love, or you know for certain your cat is very overweight. It's better to try and get them to lose it naturally.
@Versa, I gave him a little more food, but thing is he can't self moderate. I left him with 2 cups of food once to go on a weekend trip and came home early and he had eaten it all. XD
So long as you're following the instructions on the bag you should be good. But if he's acting super hungry you could try something geared towards weight management so you can feed him larger portions / he feels more full from the food depending on the type.
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.

Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
