I feel like I saw a Instagram post about how horses can accidentally eat a fungus on clover that makes them drool. It is harmless though. Not saying that is what has happened though.
That may be it then, i can't say though as I don't know the individual horse but that has happened with ours with clover in the past :) I hope you get to the bottom of it though!
Fox, Diet items reported to cause adverse food reactions in horses include lucerne, barley, beet pulp, bran, buckwheat, chicory, clover, malt, oats, potatoes, St. John's Wort, and wheat, feed additives. I am not a vet, or a horse health expert, but I looked it up online and found this
My thoughts too, never seen a horse dripping motuh foam. Was worried it was contagous then remebered one of mine has allergys and it explained the coughing. Ill see if I can take her to my vax apt in two weeks
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
