Zrek - if the rider is getting hung up on the stirrup when they get off then they are not being taught how to dismount properly.
Feet should be out of the stirrup and kicked free and away. If they are sliding down the side of the horse, against the stirrups, then they are dismounting incorrectly.
Not sure how else a rider could get hung up while dismounting. And the thick band really should prevent anything from truly getting stuck in that bit of the stirrup that is not that deep or stick out that far, and very well rounded in shape.
With literally 4 decades of teaching kids riding professionally, never had a kid hang up on peacocks dismounting 🤷🏼♀️
Lucky! We got like 5.5 inches of rain in like 12-24 hours. At least we know the french drain works! The 5 inch pipe is chuggin water out for hours yesterday. I bet some is still coming out.

Either way, there are several other types of safety stirrup. Easy to see many with a google search. But the peacock is the old reliable, and quite safe all around in my opinion.
Never seen the upward part of a peacock hang up on anything. If the band is in there, not enough room to hang on anything else. Even if the rider did come off and the band came off, if the stirrup snagged anything at all, the leather should come right off the stirrup bar if they are also left open for safety as they should be.
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.

Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
