Can only imagine, least now you got yourself a safe reliable one |

Yeah. Her alignment was absolutely toasted and none of us even attempted to touch any of that. The deer hit the driver front corner of the car. I wouldn't ever recommend anyone continuing to drive a car in such a condition, but it was desperate times at that point. Had a lot of stuff going on and it was all a case of bad getting worse for a bit. |

Probably the best decision to crush, the chassis was probably in iffy shape if that’s the one that hit the deer |
Black Dragon Stable |
Yes, she was. I would swear I heard a sigh of relief when we pulled in with the Chevy. lol. Corolla went to a junkyard up the road, and they knew what was up because they helped me cobble her back together. Old girl went straight to the crusher because none of us wanted some kid to get her as a project car and have a wreck or something. |

I had to replace the driver headlight (demolished), bumper was held on by tape, front was crunched, radiator leaked, radiator fan make a funky noise because something was bent, blew the valve gasket seal and was leaking oil like a sieve... Control arms... yeah, not going there. lol. I was broke and had to run with what I had, but I will say that we did NOT submit a claim to insurance over that one. |
Black Dragon Stable |
ok... That's enough snapping up cheap EEEs fillies with great pedigrees. lol. |

@Geek ...what do you mean a playlist for Lady Aphrodite?? #cartalk 231,000 miles and going. I was terrible about oil changes for a while - he starts to make a ticking sound and I know when it gets closer together - then it's time to go in. My mechanically inclined friend showed me how to treat my car better. So now it's topping up every three weeks and scheduled changes. Went to a junk yard to scavenge a scrapped car for minor things - it was like this horror moment of this could be my car. It was missing wheels and engine, and it was bare metal in the interior. You hit a deer and it was still FINE??? For a year?? |

I'm used to getting up to an impossible 50 mpg with my previous corolla and I've actually hit that a couple of times in my Trax. I can't warrant the cost of a hybrid with those numbers, honestly. |
ZequineZ |
They’re interesting looking, they look like a rav4 Hybrids are starting to look more tempting but there’s nothing like having a real engine at your feet |
Black Dragon Stable |
I looked into buying a corolla cross, but those CVTs make me leery. |
ZequineZ |
Good old Toyota they’re such long lasting motors. Land cruisers are big here. A modded 20 year old one will run you the same cost as a new one sometimes |

The 9th gens were absolute beasts. She had 200k miles on her when I bought her and I put an additional 100k ish miles on her in just over 4 years. I ran that poor baby into the ground, and I wasn't always the best about maintenance on her (accidental 15k mile oil change, anyone? Oops.) |
ZequineZ |
I still cry sometimes about the day my Pajero left on a tow truck for a scrap yard |
Gypsy Family Farm |
(Also I can't get my shit together but going in a minute, need to enter my Feds.) |
