@Starlight, they dont get their ears caught in things anymore than a lab does. XD

Breeders creed:
Form to Function.

If the animal cannot perform the task for which it is bred for without injury or breakdown, then breeders are breeding for the wrong traits.

I do not like breeding for *looks* or strictly conformation competitions. That is what causes most every extreme health and physical issue in every breed in all the species.

I would love to see a rule where a conformation/halter award could not be earned until the dog/horse proved itself in some sort of performance or job related type of test/competition

Most Dobermans who get their ears cropped are house pets though.

"Straight" back shepherds are BYB. "Slope" backed dogs only look sloped in a 3point - 3 point creates the illusion of a slope.

Kangals should definitely have ears cropped. They are Livestock Guardian Dogs and if they get into a wolf/ coyote fight they could have ears ripped off then it will be painful with injuries. Dobermans are working dogs and Cropping and docking prevent happy tail and the ears getting easily caught onto something.

I prefer cropped dobies. And honestly. I prefer docked tails. That is on thing i do not enjoy about my GSD. Her tail leaves bruises on me. But my lil aussie nubbins dont 😂

Cropping be it ears or tail for aesthetics I will never fathom why.

But cropping for working breeds or those prone to ear infections or "happy tail" I understand.

Dobermans were NOT bred to look cute. They were bred for protection.

Yeah I really don't like the cropped ears on the dobbies
They look much nicer with them long
Cropping ears and docking tails are illegal here anyway unless it's for a medical reason

I agree with Cropping and docking as long as done by a professional vet
