I really like Belgian Malinois, but they seem to have HIGH drive and energy. I like their focus and loyalty though. And the body type. :D

I assume you use your Pyrs as LGDs? Honestly, I`d just get a cattle dryer and a gallon concentrate of dog shampoo. Those and a decent hose nozzle would save you carting them to the dog wash. And you could purchase everything with the money you spend on three rounds of baths. I`d be happy to recommend stuff if you like.

@vecc

Sorry, I restarted the wifi...

Yes, the temperament is a major factor. As well as energy. :D Oh and grooming needs. Like I wouldn't want dog hair everywhere all the time. And short stiff hairs make me cringey feeling. lol

And a hair dryer works good on rabbits too. Just not too loud or hot! I've read into it. lol Sounds fun!

Interesting, one of our Bull Terriers was named Nova.
She's gone now, but her registered name was Brickhouse Supernova. Nova for short.

When I worked a grooming shop (I groom from home now) I used to make `hair puppies` and put them in an empty kennel. My best looked like a pair of pups curled up together... it was so funny when people would coo over the `sleeping` dogs.

Nova is still shedding her winter coat. I've already gotten enough hair to make two more of her. As soon as my eyes are to the point I can safely drive again, she's going back to get blown out

I used to have a fluffy corgi (RIP Gunner, you were the best) and the blowdryer was the whole reason we started taking him to the self wash spot near us. Blow out all the hair, wash the dog, then hit him with the slicker brush to get anything else out. You could have made a whole second corgi out of the hair he would drop in shedding season

The blowdryer is the best way to get rid of hair. Better than any brush or shampoo in my opinion. My poor babies would be so hot in the summer without it

Just have someone set off an airhorn behind you every time they see you picking - you`ll stop. Or go deaf.

Totally agree with Vecc, Snow. I love dogs, but don`t realistically have time to own one. I get the best of both worlds as a groomer, though! Regular dog fixes, no permanent responsibilities! :D

I love dog wash spots, I have two German shorthairs and I take them because it cuts down so much on the mess. Happy to tip the staff there rather than scrub my whole damn bathroom. The blowdryer is a nice plus too. No wet dog spots all over my couch lol

Bayonet always goes swimming in the cow trough in the summer and we let him because it gets hot. Trigger's actually the last pup of his too lol. Daisy's his mom.
I actually take them to a self grooming place because I used to be a groomer and know how to do it. Only $18 apiece which is nothing at all for my babies
