@Angel, Mourning is okay because it is part of a process. From experience, distraction works, but only for a certain amount of time. Once you allow yourself to feel your true emotions, it will be easier to process them and heal from it. Sometimes a wound has to be uncovered to the air and the light in order to heal. It's all part of the process, and sometimes writing it out helps your mind to grapple a better understanding of it.
Revel I hate crying. Hearing myself cry makes me start panicking because I hate the sound of my breathing. Also little bit if trauma about crying from how I was raised. I find other ways to cope

Angels Would story be a distraction? I don't know if you're like me or not. When I lost my horse(technically not but felt like it) I got through it by working twice as much, watching action drama tv and reading books.

One of the horses broke his leg overnight so he had to be put down this morning. Very sudden and unexpected and he was one of the best horses on the farm
