I've found that since the quest revamp I've used to many more aspects of the game more regularly, and I'm really loving it. Plus the boost to my SAs has been really nice.

Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
