The hardest thing about showing for me was that it is so different from just riding at your barn, even when you prepare. It seriously is like its own discipline and takes lots of practice at shows to be good at showing.
Halter class did not place. I entered knowing I probably wouldnÂ’t but just wanted a low key thing to work through my anxiety. Second class, Western Pleasure was judged by two, so two diff scores and typically two diff placing but both judges agreed on me being 3rd place! I am proud of the horse I rode and myself for stepping way out of my comfort zone.
Yeah. Long day yesterday. Was at show for 12 hours. I smartly chose one class in the first group of classes and one class in the last group lol. And I did not sit much, helped around as much as I could, watched a few classes here and there too. I did not lay down in bed till 11:30, was not fully asleep till 12. Alarm went off at 4.
