@WH, I have tried that and while it is ok, I still have horses who appear ready to show based on their training that do horribly. Part of me thinks more stables are showing which means it is generally just more competitive.

Hm. I just went through by hand earlier and entered shows(I use easy enter days 2 and 3) and a lot of my SD boys didn't go up week 3. I also forgot to geld before some of them got their first two weeks of training so I'll give this first batch a pass.

I think I tried following some of the guides that were out there in 2016 when I originally started playing and nothing seemed to work until I just went horse by horse and looked at the training bars

As a new stable I reached out to so many others to figure out how they showed and finally found something that worked for me.

@WH, what is frustrating is that after spending forever figuring out showing and creating that guide it doesn't work anymore!

Good luck! It can definitely be frustrating when the main money maker isn't doing well lol

@WH, that is a good idea too.

I think I am going to do a test run with something new when showing AD this week and if it doesn't go very well I will switch to SD showing.

SD can also end up with wild inbalances though. Maybe you could do a cull at level 3/4 when they start to show those big differences?

I have done both. My old account I had probably 800 showing horses that were a mix from all my different breeding programs. I just restarted so I'm going to play around with SD while I build back up

I don't really want to cull all my geldings as I think I will lose a lot, but maybe I need try SD. I have noticed training seems frequently skewed with my AD horses.

@WH, yeah I have thought about that. Do you show SD? I wonder if I switched to that if I would do better.
The Old Gods
09:16:01 Void Malign
Yeah, I do that because they usually end up with heavy weaknesses in that area

When/how does everyone cull their geldings? If you do. I'm considering culling out my SD boys that arent 3 up wk4

Like this mare is skewed and is probably going to do worse with that method than this one

I haven't used that method before but my guess would be as the horse goes up levels it gets less accurate. When a horse is level 1 or 2 and weak in movement for example it's probably only down 1 or 2 bars comparatively and will still do well. But when they get to level 7 they could be down in mvt by 3+ bars and it gets skewed

I used to be one on of the top 10 earners on HEE every year when I used that guide and was on that account.

That used to be my main account until I created this one.

What showing guide are you using Hummer?

Not going to lie, I haven't been doing as good with showing as I used to. My showing guide doesn't seem as effective.
