In my area the cheaper clinics use just the minimal requirement for safety stuff. IÂ’m not risking my 95lb dog to save some money even when living on a fixed income :/
Star Yeah I wouldn't let my dog outside unsupervised unless in our fenced in backyard. I wouldn't even let my dog unsupervised in the front because other dogs can see em.
There's a veterinarian shortage; not everyone has easy access to all the options. Trusted vets are hard to find. Supporting them will open more avenues should emergencies arise. Especially in the horse world.
Celeste, I mean.. if you want to pay that much when there are vets who are just as good as the more expensive ones that fo it cheaper then that's your choice.

Exactly Cali. Yes. I am paying a lot- but I know they will treat my animal with care and respect, I have never not once been given a reason to not like them.
We do have a clinic here that does is for 50 +rabies shot. I am sorry- I do not like then, and after the absolute sheer amount of animals that have died at their clinic in the past month and a half, they are not to be trusted. You get what you pay for.

I'm sorry but that's crazy to me to even pay 300 for a spay. There are places who will do those for free at clinics. And even if you cant find a free clinic around theres got to be places who do it cheaper than 300
