Until they are in the green, and then focus on showing them, while working on training some more horses

I have tried both SD and AD and I much prefer AD, but showing is definitely an individual thing. I tried MANY different ways before figuring out what routine and style worked for me.

I've been showing my SD horses that way for 3+ years and I always make double what I spend to enter them every night

Maybe showing 5 or 10 horses at a time will work better for me

@Athena, true! I just think most newbies don't realize you have to actively show your horses for those dates to turn green. ;)

But you can predict when a horse will be in the green. Es and Ws are usually in the green after 5-6 weeks of training. Show them once after 5 weeks and if they're not in the green, train one more week before trying again. Don't just show them 3 times every week hoping it will turn green

You have to evaluate the last date they showed against the current date to determine if they have leveled up or had enough training. If you figure this out and hit the sweet spot then the dates will turn green.

@Athena, problem is show dates don't turn green on their own.

Just make sure they're in the green or you will just lose money.

I do. 200 ebs is 200 ebs and those 200 add up fast when you're showing 50 level 1s

@Glacier, if they place well, yes, but I have been told it just isn't worth it.

Dumb question, would showing a one year old horse earn any Ebs
