Morning everyone |
Circle Star RIDs |
girths are used with english saddles and have 2 buckles on each side - cinches with western and have one buckle on each side. |

Ru, my AD breeding has been terrible other than my WWE colt. I'm starting to like SD more. |
KPH Equestrian |
fern lol the way I understand it, as someone who rides English and western, is that a girth has two buckles on each side and a cinch has one x3 |
RFS Thoroughbreds |
flea ay me and you have the same opinion then. me and my friend were arguing if it was a girth or cinch before ignoring each other before laughing about it lol |
KPH Equestrian |
fern cinch, and the second one is called a rear/back cinch :) |
Sagruesal |
I need to get two straws for my incredible filly's debut. Hard to decide who's gonna sire her first foals. |
RFS Thoroughbreds |
ooh flea's on? nice - to any western riders, do ya'll call it a girth or cinch on your saddle? and if you call it a girth, is the back one a back cinch or do you also call it a girth? mixed opinions on it, I know that for sure |
Sagruesal |
Sandy I agree. Not as stressful and expensive as AS, that's for sure. I spend around 300k on them all, including testing, that's one medallion. |
