| @Versa, I spent 6 months looking and found one place, but my insurance backed out last minute. Like I said for some reason because I am over 18 (was diagnosed at age 21) I am suddenly barred from therapy for autism. |

| @Versa, I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression around age 14. Turns out it was autism all along and I got my diagnosis 8 years later. Unfortunately I am too old to receive any therapy to help with my autism because I am over 18. |

| Bird, I have what's considered social phobia, alongside selective mutism. I was tested numerous times for autism. Eventually it was decided that I was just very ADHD. I don't medicate for any of it except days where my anxiety is too severe for me to function. |

| I don't think there's ever going to be a way to stop how brutal people are, sadly. I mean, even as a zookeeper who hasn't harmed any of them, I see nasty comments about topics they don't even understand. I'd say the better route is for people to research before they speak. |
