@KPH - yes, there's been a few discussions in my local groups commenting on that fact - I think it's residual of the Covid price that people are still trying to cash in on.
Watching Rescues fundraise over and over to save the Killpen Horse or spend $$$$ on a puppy with Parvo - when that money that it costs to save one animal in vet bills, could have gone to house and successfully rehomed how many others.
The world is falling apart at the seams. Wars, Crime, Famine, Etc. I come to play a game because my heart breaks for the real world.

boulder good lord don't get me started on horse prices. I found an ad for a 3-6(I don't remember) rather green QH gelding recently started under saddle... for 75 THOUSAND. While I got a 15yo fully trained QH gelding for free last year all because his farrier did a consistently bad job >>;
This is reminding me so much of (very unfortunately) the market price for real animals (horses). Without having a base value for the animals to all have - the economy of the horse industry went a bit crazy. And still is dealing with that 20+ years later.
A sale happens when one person is willing to spend what another person is asking for. The same horse could go for 20k or 200 depending on the market and the buyer. Even COVID showed us that - animal prices went through the Roof.
And we're back down to where people can't afford to keep the horse due to the economy, so they let them loose on public land or overflow rescues and shelters.
Not having a Buyer who will pay This Set Amount Of Money - means that the animal doesn't have a minimum worth.
It's a real world crisis - and now it's in game too.
If I really got down and busy, I could blow past the show cap each week. On a non-lazy week, I can easy make 1 mil or so in profit from hitting the 1500 cap
