Beetles don't bite or hurt you unless they feel threatened, same with most if not all other insects and arachnids. A very large creature picking them up or being near their nest will definitely strike them as threatening haha
Dark As a kid I thought they where cool & I still do However to many used their anti predator instinks on me Mostly biting & spraying nasty smells that make me sick I still try to be nice to beetles whenever I see them Ofcourse my favorites are June beetles & fireflies
