Yup. Most of her "bad" behavior is seeing what she's allowed to do and how the person will react if she's naughty. Once she realizes she won't be allowed to do something, she might try it once or twice again and stop.

But that does not mean people listen haha. I am actually in the process of making a permanent decorative eye catching sign to hang on his door.
Gonna have baby shark on it lmao

Void, ok, so you do know there was trauma and abuse. Of course that is helpful, but much harder to deal with than a horse that was just allowed to be a brat. As I am sure you know ;)

She's not a rescue. She was a purchase (though I think she's now a "Rescue"). She's a former show mare and had 3-4 owners prior to us getting her. The last trainer she had was the gruff cowboy type.

For sure haha. Tasty everything!
Baby is older too. He has just been allowed to be an ass his whole life (guess why? Winning ribbons)
He is not in our main stall set, and we tell people no on going beyond that public stall area if they are not clients, just there for the event.

My mares were taught to have good manors. here at the barn when we have events we always use Mable and delight for beginner trail rides etc.

How long does it take for a foal to be 3 years old in game?

in Oklahoma's case, not knowing the background and ending up as a rescue case, it is hard to know.
So trying the different things is a must until understanding where they horses brain is and what is causing the behavior

Biting is going to be either defensive/distrust, or because they were allowed to have bad manners.

Horses like children and dogs, will test boundaries.
They will go into defense mode if treated poorly, at least to a point, some with weaker souls may just give up and be zombie like, but even those will eventually hit a breaking point.

Biting can and should be fixed, but first you must figure out why the horse is biting so the training can proceed in a way the there is improvement.

my horse has great ground manners and is super good under saddle like yeah we have boundaries of course but honestly I dont think there's an issue with being besties with your horse
and hes come from being super pushy on the ground and not understanding pressure at all lol

'course, she's a wonderful mix of being highly intelligence, past trauma, and past abuse.

If there's an event at the yard and my 3 are stabled I put my fiancé's name across the doors (he owns the yard) as an indication not to touch them
It's kinda rude here to pet horses that have names going across the door that aren't yours

It's more.
He's not nice to anyone
And he's owner is almost never.
So I think it's more she doesn't want to take the risk if he hurts someone.
Staff or otherwise

What Buckeye says is true. And it is why that horse I posted below bites. He was taught it was ok, never really disciplined all throughout childhood and now we have a pushy arrogant crackhead on the ground.
There has to be balance between being your horses friend and being your horses trainer.

Oklahoma is a "biter". Either she's being defensive because the person crossed one of her many boundaries, or she's being curious. She's gotten better with the second since I got her hay ball toy

Funny his previous owner said he loves kids!
They left out the eating part.
He loves eating kids!

My horses love me, they come when called, easy to catch and handle. But being *besties* can be misconstrued by many, and lead to horses with pushy and dangerous ground manners. They are still a large animal!
That is where training and respect come in.
Horses can love you and still realize you are a leader not an equal
