| @Versa, I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression around age 14. Turns out it was autism all along and I got my diagnosis 8 years later. Unfortunately I am too old to receive any therapy to help with my autism because I am over 18. |

| Bird, I have what's considered social phobia, alongside selective mutism. I was tested numerous times for autism. Eventually it was decided that I was just very ADHD. I don't medicate for any of it except days where my anxiety is too severe for me to function. |

| I don't think there's ever going to be a way to stop how brutal people are, sadly. I mean, even as a zookeeper who hasn't harmed any of them, I see nasty comments about topics they don't even understand. I'd say the better route is for people to research before they speak. |

| @Versa, my bad. Just logging in and saw the conversation. A lot of good points were brought up. I will say, I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression, but I think it is my autism that makes me anxious and depressed. So maybe misdiagnosing is a factor too. |

| There's is an old saying, you are what you eat. We've been eating and drinkiung so many chemicals, who knows for sure how that's effecting our brains. |
