Actually angel maybe you should house your horses in pastures and use some for growing hay instead of barns I read a post when I stumbled on it on the internet before i signed up that it takes 25 hay bales if not more for 1 horse round bales feed more horses if there housed in pastures it might sound weird but it might save you money and save your barns for capturing only its worth a shot hay is expensive unless you grow it yourself and you can sell hay bales unless you need them for extra income :) it might help you that's my plan anyway.

If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.
