I would trim a chick's beak, do they have any kind of scissor beak? and are you feeding them crumbled feed? are you feeding in a dish or chicken feeder or laying it flat on the ground? if it's in a container it's a bit easier for them to grab some

If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
