Wow,that is tough. Pretty much the story of my breeding. Which is why I breed for show horses now and never expect to get anything superior as far as ratings go.
Zrek Nolvasan - aka Chlorhexadine - is a very safe disinfectant. I buy it by the gallon and use it for many things. The vet even had us dilute with a bitmof water and use as a flush for a large cavity in a mini horse's mouth that had a huge tooth extracted.
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.

You can hire a rider. They will be automatically assigned to your horse. Be sure to visit the Rider's Lounge and pay them.
Set Breeding Requirements for your horse. Enter the minimum rating allowable for breeding. When breeding, Any combo of the entered values and higher will be accepted. Leave blank to set to None.
Edit your horse's remarks. Keep all content PG-13.
Choose a Background for your horse.
Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.

Join A Federation. Your horse will accrue Federation Points
and based on that may make the Federation Championships.
It costs 500 to enter a Federation and membership lasts
one game year.
