Well, I have to go. I'll be brainstorming, and go over it with mom. :) |

Put a couple towels or a blanket down. Thats what I usually do. Once I used hay but its not as fun to clean up after |
Snow Stable |
@athena Oh yes. We have one. But mom thinks the ride would be better in the soft one. The shelter put her in that one, so why can't we? lol 'Cause we don't have the experience? |

Sorry for the late replies, I had to go do something offline for a few minutes. :) Thanks you all the suggestions. I'm not used to any cats that learned to live outside. She's all muscle and has a huge neck so getting her scruff is near impossible. Add lifesaving manvouvers and I'm out powered. lol |

Gem I use one of these. Keeping the door up can be a bit of a pain but otherwise its easy -Click- |

@athena Hm, i see. And mom is trying a soft carrier too. O.o Can't zip that darn thing faster enough. We actually got her in for about .25 of a second. I got a deep punture in my thumb pad plus some scrathes.... @solar that should work after a few months... but its needed soon. |
Snow Stable |
@lo *nods* @AL Yes, but she's like 10? So very stuck in her ways. @penta I don't even think I could do that. lol She seems to know all the tricks... |

try leaving out a larger, soft carrier like a hideaway place? encourage them to go in and out with treats or toys |
Sunset River Arabian |
When catching my barn cats that dont mind being held but hate carriers, I take the top off the carrier and have someone hold it to put on top as soon as I'm done holding the cat and put it down inside. They hate it and I'm sure they hate me for a little while but I'd rather that than have them get worked up by forcing them in |
Pentagram Stables |
We'd put our semi-wild barn cats in a pillow case, then put them in a carrier. |

-HEE Click- I love how this girl has been doing, hoping I can pair her a bit better next RO |
Willowwood Stable |
Gem As someone with a very large cat who hates his carrier and will do anything physically possible to stay out of it... I feel you. |

man, getting kitty into the carrier for vet appionyment was a failure like i thought it was going to be... >.> Exbarn cat with past catching trama is gonna run and do some fighting... *big sigh* |
