What colour are his nails? If he has black nails then understandable it's hard to judge where the quick is If they're white then it's way easier to see the black line of the quick and the dot when you turn the bottom of the paw to face you
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
