No, but I am pretty sure the geckos got out last night and I can't find them anywhere. Also my cats never leave the enclosures alone, so I know if they found them they would eat them
Raven, our largest horse (of course) hates EVERYBODY except Shaylee. We cannot turn her out with anybody but Shaylee. She is a draft cross, and can pretty much unalive anybody we put her with. So she gets turned out by herself or with Shaylee, She is fine with them over the fence but once they in the pasture it is game over, -Click-
Stalled horses she does not care about whether they are shoed or barefoot. But the pasture horses she prefers them barefoot. She is careful who she pastures with each other. I hate it when we have to rotate all the horses. Takes hours upon hours. But sometimes it has to be done We have a paddock we can use to turn out the stalled horses that can be on grass. We turn them out either in twos or by themselves just depending. For those that cannot be on grass, we let loose in the arena.
Oh yeah. We have shoes on a couple here. Some have the saddleseat pads but those are removed once show season ends and then they either reg shoes or go barefoot depending on what the horse needs.
Oklahoma did have some issues when she showed up, but that was caused by the prior owner leaving her shoes on for too long. It took about a year of trims to carefully adjust the angle, but she has zero issues now
We did have two horses with Metabolic disease, they could not be kept on grass, and one had awful feet. That one was retired and sent to a horsey retirement homeĀ The other was perfectly fine until last winter, when we had a shit ton of freezing temps and snow/ice. He went downhill during that and we could not get him recoveredĀ We braided his mane, cut his tail, and I hand grazed him his last day. Miss my old man Skeeter
