Target training is something I'm definitely going to try with him! I'm going to incorporate it into his rehab when he's allowed off of box rest. He's currently only allowed out twice a day for a handgraze, the poor beggar :(
What about target training? Every time he voluntarily touches the syringe, he gets a treat or a scratch or whatever his favorite reward is. Then eventually he'll start seeking it out and keeping his head down for it. That might take more time, but it'll save you the headache in the long run and be something that sticks with him over the years that you own him
That is really rough. Usually molasses does the trick but if he's that bad, syringe is probably the answer. Though I do know there's a company that makes a 'bit' that you can put on like a normal bridle, and then syringe it in through that
Oh and another think that probably doesn't help is that he's already about 16.3hh and still growing, so when he puts his head up it's like trying to wrangle a giraffe 😭
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.

Set Breeding Requirements for your horse. Enter the minimum rating allowable for breeding. When breeding, Any combo of the entered values and higher will be accepted. Leave blank to set to None.
Edit your horse's remarks. Keep all content PG-13.
Choose a Background for your horse.
Withdraw your horse from it's team. You will lose all team points for this horse. Please discuss this action with the team manager first.
Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
Showing in the special weekly shows doesn't count against your horse's weekly regular show count.
