My stepdad was looking for a horse for my mom since hers died last year, and he found a 6yo 16hh mare, fully trained, for 800$. Said the owner died and the mare was left with a friend, and they just want her to go to a good home. Possible third horse for us? xD
Since I am taller I weigh more. I used to lease a 15h mustang and I always felt kind of bad riding him because I think I was too big for him. I'm not really overweight, but still.
Horse prices vary a lot it's crazy. There was a horse a while ago I considered for $8.5k, I loved his personality, size, and build, but he only knew basic commands. I have some people tell me that wasn't a bad price and they would have priced him the same, and others who have told me they wouldn't have even considered paying over $5k. I guess it depends on the money you have 🤷🏼♀️
I am hoping to set aside 15k to find the right show horse. I do not have time to train one myself, eternally work and church and horses I have no time lol. So we are looking at show horses, some have costed a decent under 10k. And some are 15k and above My thing is, my budget expands every month I do not make the purchase.

Your horse may show 3 times per week. Shows run daily. Your horse and rider will gain valuable experience from showing. Select a discipline to show in, or scratch from tonight's show.
