ooh.. okay i see |
Silver Melody Acres |
if they're not rated, you wouldn't be able to tell if they're good show prospects or not without waiting to see their training |
Brine & Shrimptail |
okay thank you. if i can buy a good competition gelding or two is this also worth it vs just competing all my horses at once haha? i guess it also isnt worth competing them all is it? |

I keep PPP+ for geldings but I do have some SPPs that are good earners :) |
Silver Melody Acres |
horses with P or E ratings are the best for it. geldings are the money-makers since they train up faster, but everything can be shown as long as they have the training |
Four Peaks Ranch |
I am definitely learning my lesson about the long haul. It takes so much time to train competitive horses and breed effectively. I hardly even understand it as I am haha |
Brine & Shrimptail |
i have some horses with other ratings.. are they worth keeping as they aren't PPP? or does it matter if its mare vs gelding, as studs dont score as well as i understand |
Hummingbird Meadows |
@Brine, that's a good idea. It's hard to quickly get rich and successful in this game, it is more about the long haul. |
Brine & Shrimptail |
thank you.. maybe ill slow down on what i was doing for now until i know 100% what im doing xD |
Brine & Shrimptail |
is there anyone in my herd i could geld who would be worth it? thinking i jumped too ahead lol |
Hummingbird Meadows |
@Brine, I use PPP+ rated geldings for my AD show string. I have a very small SD show string I use E+ |
Brine & Shrimptail |
alright. is it worth purchasing prospect show horses or are the ones i have suitable enough? im awaiting comp results and new so im not 100% sure, thank you |
