Yeah I have heard a lot of the high end brands are not as good as people think. I also know must vets and nutritionists don't recommend raw only for the reason that most people don't do it properly and miss a lot of major things needed in the diet. That is why I did a ton of research and I put so many things in his food.
When I was a groomer i got to see first hand what happened when people would switch either on or off any type of Hills. Hotspots, yeast infections and sores galore.
Angels lol yeah because Hills isn't actually good. She loves feeding raw but also knows a shit ton of other foods for people who can't. Like me. that also don't gouge your pockets. She's amazing.
For the price I got him, he definitely would've ended up with a kill buyer if I didn't message the page literally 2 minutes after they posted. He was mine 10 minutes after his ad was posted. I knew he needed to come home with me. And I regret it in the form that I am way over my head in bills and stressed as hell, but he needed a soft landing and I'm his person by far. He's my boy. I've only had him maybe 6 months, and he's bonded with me so so quick. All it took was the right loving.
He gets the smallest amount on the cheat sheet I have lol He is a bit over weight with little activity (but I am exercising him more) and he is only 25lbs
Yeah That is frustrating. I spend about $70-&0 a month on all the stuff for a raw diet, but that varies obviously with the size of your dog, their body condition, and amount of activity
@Angels, after spending so much money on vet bills trying to figure it out we finally just decided if the food works just to keep using it. It sucks it costs about $150/bag though and he doesn't like the taste so we have to use meal toppers.
That's one of my favorite thing about feeding raw is you literally choose the raw ingredients to put in it and I even switch up the main proteins sometimes to give variety. Ground Buffalo is his favorite
If you have Dapple Blend Grain, you can feed it to your horse and their coat will dapple.
The effect will wear off after a few days. One pound of grain will be fed at a time.
If you feed Senior Blend to your senior horse they will have a 10% decreased chance in dying
when the weekly script runs on Monday morning. The effect lasts for one weekly cycle.
