anyone know how to add fonts using 2.8 in gimp with windows ten? ( Lap top is Lenovo )

I got to DaFont and find download a font I want. Then I go to users > select your name > GIMP > fonts. You have to start GIMP up again in order to see the fonts.

Hopefully that's the right way, it should be or just about. It's been a while since I have used a windows. I just got a new Mac :)
