Art tips:I use photoshop but may help with other programs.
1. Convert images to smart objects BEFORE changing their size. This helps not to lose quality when trying to get it to the right size.
2. Smudge out any imperfections on the horse to make it more appealing, but use a low strength, as you don't want to mess it up
3. Can't figure out how to get the mane and tail right? For one option, you can use part of the horse's real tail and mane and use the smudge tool on 1-3 pixels and 90-95% to make it fuller. For the second option, DA has stock images of premade tails and manes you can use, and alter if needed. I use these when absolutely needed. Consideritfo on DA is the best in my opinion.
4. Copy and paste the section you will be changing to white for the horse's patterns, in case you mess up, onto a new layer. That way you have the original horse still there and you don't have to start over completely.
5. Blur out the background a bit, except where the horse is standing, so the horse is the center of attention.
6. Use as many layers as possible to separate what you are doing and name them!
7. Keep the original horse image by itself on a layer in case you need it.

Crediting: For Deviant art you should do "(c) username.DA" For evey piece used and make sure they allow it to be used on SIMs games and follow thier rules
For the other sites do "(c) username @ website" For every piece used |

I have had an image taken down that was made for me my another artist because of use of pixabay. |
