Just made this and looking for opinions on strong points & weak points. Maybe some suggestions on how to make a more realistic look? Perhaps a price?
Quality is so bad now that I look at it.. Sorry about it looking blurry. Didn't look like that in PS. Edited at December 30, 2018 07:28 PM by Keeper of the Lost

The biggest weakness I can see is the lack of shadows. Regardless of how cloudy a day is, there's going to be a bit of shadow under the horse. He also ought to have a bit of shade on his hooves and legs where they're going into the grass. From here, his hair looks nice, but the lack of shadows makes it so he doesn't really fit into the background. I would also recommend playing with the colors a bit to match him into the background better.

Very helpful, thank you. :)
This is my newest piece, where I used advice from people. https://i.ibb.co/Y225XTV/Purple-Sky.jpg

This looks great! Here are a few of my critiques :)
- Pay attention to the lighting in the BG and on the horse. Right now the lighting does not match which is throwing the whole piece off. Since the lighting doesn't match, the shadow is very out of place. If you flipped the horse, made the shadow softer, moved it more under the horse and then lower the opacity on it, it would look much better and everything would fit in just a bit more ;)
- Don't be afraid to play around with Colour Balance. The BG has some intense purples and pinks but the horse is lacking that especially in the shadows of the horse (not the shadow on the ground) and in the markings.
- I'm not sure if you found the BG like this or not, but that left corner has a little too much contrast compared to the rest of the image. If you added that on a different layer, try lowering the opacity or choosing a different layer setting.
- Your mane and tail repainting looks great! However I would try adding more fly aways to give it a more natural, softer look.
Overall, great job! ;D Edited at January 1, 2019 01:04 PM by Trinity Equine

I also think you hooves could use a little more grounding work. (if you know what I mean)
