Hello all! Ive been working on art when I have time between school work and at the moment I use ibis paint X on my iPad 6 with an Apple Pencil. While Ive learned to like this app it doesnt have the ability to change canvas sizes without creating pure blur. While I do enjoy the large variety of brushes and sorts I was wondering if anyone had any other free apps for an iPad I could try??
All help is appreciated and if you have a question also feel free to post it here and maybe someone can help answer as I could also use all the information possible!
Also... so when I am done making a piece ibis paint has the options of jpeg or png file saves. PNG always turns up way too big no matter how much I resize and from what Ive read jpeg is the same as jpg, but the art doesnt work. Ive tried used sites to change the art to jpg but it always saves as jpeg. Maybe its my iPad, either way all help is highly appreciated!! Edited at January 18, 2019 09:14 PM by Barbed Wire Ridge

I use ibis paint too. When I first started out, I had the same issues with files. I found that iPads wonÂ’t save any image as JPG, so even using online converters wonÂ’t help. I found an old laptop that works perfectly with gimp. I donÂ’t do my art on there as I prefer my iPad but I use the laptop and gimp to resize and upload my images.
Hope this kinda helps. Good luck with your art!

I believe that Affinity Photo has an iPad app. I use it on my laptop and I absolutely love it!

All the free photoshop apps are pretty good! I use Adobe Mix to create the base, transfer it to Adobe Sketch, add fine details in Adobe Fix and finally add text in an app called "Phonto".
