Hello all. Basically, I have a couple of problems that I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out with? One is that my credits are blurry compared to the sharpness of the art piece (still readable, etc. etc. - just kind of look out of place), because I cannot seem to get the font small enough in PS and have to type them on in a different, basic program (it's not even a program, it's just your regular "Preview" that us Mac users have (I don't know about Windows)). Anyway, how can I change this? Anyone else put their credits on using PS?

Also, how do you go about finding good fonts to use for text avatars? I'm just starting to build my special font collection, and it's proving difficult to find ones that have the effect I'm after. Any suggestions/recommendations most appreciated :)

Thanks!

If you are resizing the avatar after you put the credits on, this could be an issue. I work on a 1000 x 1000 then cut down to 500 x 500 and the correct file size before adding credits

I use Bell MT font with a usual 0.2 or less for full Avis (I think, I might have to recheck the sizing >.>) I usually play around with the decimal until the size is decent. I never resize the font with the resizing tool, as I feel this makes it blurry too.

Can't say much about text avatars though, I suck at them.

Thanks for your help! What do you use to adjust the size of your font, if you don't use the resizing tool? I thought that was the only way to do it, but if it isn't, then that would definitely be super beneficial when putting credits on. I also work from a 1000 x 1000 canvas for avatars, so will be sure to remember to resize it before typing on the credits. Thanks again :)

Hi there!

First step is to go ahead and resize your piece. Once everything is resized to where it needs to be, i use a 5pt Arial font for my credits. Sometimes on the avi's for stable sets it needs to be a 10pt font. Crediting is always the last thing i do before exporting my piece.

As far as fonts go, https://www.dafont.com/ :D

Hope this helps!

Thanks Jello! I will definitely keep those things in mind, and go through the fonts in the site you recommend. You've been a great help! :)

Once you've typed something in, highlight the text and at the top, there should be a toolbar with color/sizing

I just tried that out that earlier and it worked - I have no idea why I thought that it wouldn't. I'm such an idiot! Thanks.
