Made this just in case anyone actually wanted to know how I do eyes. This is step by step so you can just go back to this image to figure something out.
So step one is pretty straight forward you got the eye lol
Eye re-enhance - Step 2!
What I usually do is I take the lightest color from the original eye and on a new layer and color the lower part of the eye that color keeping the pupil visible. Then I go around the edges of the eye with a darker color for the "rim" of the eye. Then I add little dots of a lighter color, but darker than the original color used around the lower part of the eye. As you can see it's kind of blocky at this point then I add black to the top of the eye where the pupil is and add a very light color where the original highlight is.
Step 3!
For this I add another layer and color block the eye with a dark color, I usually use the same one that I used for the rim of the eye. and then I erase with a soft brush in the middle where I would like the focus to be.
Step 4!
Almost done! In this step I just add itty bitty details, like flecks of new colors, added highlights lowlights, and I generally just give the eye a finishing touch! I generally redraw the white of the eye in this step making it a bit more defined, as well as the eyelashes and outlining the eye. Now you're done!
Color changing/Patterns
Step 1, take that finished re-enhanced eye from before and select the actual eye color, the iris. Copy and paste it onto a new layer and mess around with hue and saturation as well as the tone. This is a really fun thing to mess with since you could get things like this!
