I did this earlier in the year and I think I want to do it again. I want you guys to be as constructive with your critiques as you can be, last time you guys were really good and I got some really good pointers and ways to improve along with what I seemed to struggle with *cough* lighting *cough*. Rip these pieces to shreds and let me know what I could do better! These are my most recent pieces that I can show

There's not much I can find wrong with these they are beautiful! But if you want me to be picky here's what I noticed: On the second picture the front left sock of the mare is inconsistent with the other 3 socks. I would brighten that one up to match the lighting of the other ones. Or you could darken the back left leg to match the front. The third picture looks a little jagged on the back of the horse. You can try softening your eraser brush just a tad bit so your lines arent so harsh. This will also help your lines look more fluid and natural. The last picture is amazing but it looks like his legs are cut off to me. Something that will help him look more like he's standing in tall grass is to take your eraser brush and make grass blade strokes on his legs to let the background show through. These are all very small details and your art is very impressive! Keep up the good work! Edited at September 26, 2021 10:23 PM by Chidori

So, I had to really look over the images, for a very long time. They are beautiful! And I am an absolute fan of your fourth image, the colour, lighting and shading are absolutely gorgeous. It is also difficult to find things to fix since art is very objective and you are talented.
Now, other than what Chidori has mentioned. Some critiques, or more like tips you can take to your new works. - Your images are very heavily contrasted, especially the third one. It hides a lot of details that could add to your image, like colour, texture, or shading. I think that's your technique, which looks cool and not really a thing to "fix". But to try something new, you could try something less stark. Like a bright/softer image to test your abilities? - The first image looks like it's missing a back leg. Not sure if that's the stock or not, but I noticed it and it did make the image look a little off. - The wings on your second image could be a little more detailed at the joint, and they sort of look like they sit on the withers (unless that's the purpose and I missed it). Nothing too noticeable, but adding in feathers growing to the horse's shoulder, or defining the muscles of the wing attached to the shoulders just add that little extra detail that's nice.
That's about all I see, your work is truly amazing and always nice to see. Edited at October 2, 2021 03:56 AM by Riverbreeze Stables

I would say the hair could be a bit thicker and fuller:] really just me nit-picking but I love the theme of these and I feel like the top and second one the horses don't quite match the background color wise so maybe try playing with that a little bit more The last one I have almost no critique other than the shadow could have been a tad darker and the third one Is just stunning with the smooth skin and shading but I do feel like all together your pieces could benefit from some more small details like some accessories or some things that match the theme of the piece as a whole Edit: I do also notice this quote frequently with your art that your horses cut out is fairly rough and sometimes has a few places where it still has some background Edited at October 8, 2021 09:42 AM by Wings Of Glory
