Heya, I'd like to start doing Horse manipulation and all that stuff but I'm unsure how to really start or where to go from, I've looked at the Guides on HEE But I don't understand, I use procreate currently but do have IbisPaint x that I could use, I am on an iPad so any app free I'd be able to download I just need some help or some tutorials to know where to start with the apps I'm using.

Hi!
I use Ibis Paint X mainly just because it's easier to work with than Procreate in my opinion! For starting an art piece I normally would go with an 800x800 canvas but that's just my preference! I'm doing that I have all cuts I could possibly want within one piece! For stock references there are many to choose from but my favorite is unsplash.com! Crediting is super simple and is explained by Mods in the help forum! Cannot stress this enough, there are no such thing as to many layers! Make sure to name each one so you always know what layer you are working on! Transparency is your friend! When doing mane and tail work I've found that keeping the "Soft brush" on 50% opacity gives the hair and more natural look and it makes it able to see all of the detail very closely! Always start with your shadows! I always start with outlining the main features of the horse, by drawing around the body and some defining features with a 1.5 px hard brush! Don't worry about how harsh the lines are, you can change the opacity of the layer after you are all completed to your liking! After that it's whatever you want to turn the piece into! If you have any more questions don't hesitate to send me a PM!
(Sorry if there are any typos or wierd A things I'm on my phone!)
