Hello! I use procreate for my digital art and I am experiencing issues with photo quality when trying to make images 500 x 500 pixels. I made an art piece last night only to find that when I reduced the image size, it was pixelated and awful looking. I guess I assumed that if I used high quality images, they would shrink down well (I assumed the pixelation would only happen if the image was being stretched larger). I made sure to keep the proportions so that the image wasn't distorted. So, what can I do as far as making photo manipulations with horses and backgrounds that are crisp and nice quality? Do I need to search for smaller images? They don't tend to look very nice, as most decent stock is taken with fancy cameras and the images tend to be large. I would appreciate anyone's feedback so much😊 The current size of this image is 2048 x 2048 pixels. Edited at July 21, 2022 06:32 PM by Anatolia

I get bad quality with my images as well. What I do is, depending on how pixels it is, either blur the image lightly or sharpen it. It does work most times but I'm not going to guarantee it works for everyone <3 Edited at July 21, 2022 01:08 PM by Rosewood EliteÂ’s

The issue is you're starting with a genuiebly huge canvas (2000+ px). If you start smaller, you shouldn't run into this issue as much :)
