I dont think you can use Gimp on a chrome book unless you are running a Windows / Mac / Ubuntu processing system.
Which you CAN do that on a chromebook, but you have to be rather computer savy, and you lose most of the chromebooks functions.
GIMP is a downloadable program, not a website based editor.
I believe as far as website based editors goes, Pixlr is popular.
As far as getting good goes, everybody works and learns at their own pace but generally it takes a long minute. It's taken me over a year (real life year. not game year) to get to where I am now.
If you are looking to make decent EBS quickly, I would find a back up plan. :) Edited at December 2, 2017 02:32 PM by Jellos Warmbloods

Before you want to make ebs here with art you´d better learn the HEE rules on how to use art and stock here.
You will not be able to do good art - that is allowed to use here - very fast if you dont even know how to use an art programm. Sorry.
But you´d better start to earn money here by showing your horses and build up your stable :D

I am an artist and longtime Chromebook user. I can't to speak to what Jello said about the processing system, but basically unless you really mess with the computer (and I don't know whether even that would work), you cannot download and run programs. GIMP included. I have both an art tablet and a Surface that I use for art now, but back when I was trying to do art on my Chromebook, I was forced to use website-based art programs because of the computer's inability to run downloaded programs. I personally used SumoPaint, but Pixlr looks better. However - nothing comes close to the real thing. Unless you're some kind of art god who has adapted to using both a touchpad and only a web-based art program (unlikely), your art is never going to be as good as when you get access to a real art program and either an art tablet to run with that or a tablet computer. So I would start with the Chromebook for now, but if art is something you find you really enjoy and are committed to going beyond the casual arting many people do, I would consider investing in the equipment that will allow you to use pen pressure and a real art program.
