See to get Milo into the vet, and a couple comes in. Brought in a tiny little kitten, about 2-3 weeks old. The couple found him on their walk. Now at the emergency vet with a tiny kitten, I split the bill with them for him, and I told them to enjoy themselves at lunch, and I called the shelter to make them aware that I would be bringing him in. The lady got all pissy with me and started saying I probably had a cat that had kittens and I didn't want them. What the lady? I'm spending $250 dollars on a cat that may or may not make it, and you think I'm trying to get out of a $50 surrender bill? | Edited at August 5, 2023 02:44 PM by Bluebonnet Estates

God, some people should not be working at a shelter. Who does that? Any halfway decent person already feels horrible about bringing any animal to the shelter. Its a horrible experience. She had no idea what circumstances you were under to turn that kitten in, and she decided to confront you about something that may or may not have been the case? That's fucked up, dude. Did you end up turning the kitten in alright?

Currently at my house, gave him a little bath, he was covered in tree sap and pine needles, I have a friend that fosters for said shelter so she talked to the foster manager so I'm taking him directly to her instead. I actually really like that shelter, that lady may have just been a bad egg :/

Oh and incase anyone is Curious about what the vet said, he has a very minor eye infection if that, more likely allergies. he weighs 7 ounces, and has some fleas which I washed off of him, they couldn't do flea treatment because he's less then a pound. I put him with my other cat (Rey) which, I know maybe wasn't the greatest idea, even if I did a flea bath there's always a small a chance, but she groomed him and let him suckle (she's spayed so he didn't get anything) Edited at August 5, 2023 03:22 PM by Bluebonnet Estates
