It will have wings, I just haven't finished big wings to give him his own little pair haha

Ru if it's going to have wings too, I don't think it will. Right now it looks off because the upward motion in the pose is not supported by both hind legs.

Before I start, I would like to let all those who think they have the need to say, "call the vet," or, "take him to the vet," to please place your comments elsewhere, as I have already checked with them and they will be coming in two days.

My horse has been having some issues walking, he is limping on what looks like all four of his legs, and he is not wanting to move at all. He just got his hooves done, and I have checked with the farrier to see what he has to say. Apparently nothing was wrong on the day of the oppointment. Could something have happened in a matter of one night? Or could it possibly just be that he is uncomfortable with just having gotten his hooves clipped?

Please only post reply's if you know what you're talking about, as I do not want any false judgments. Thank you all.

Is this immediately after he got them trimmed?

**Edit: I'm guessing it's the morning after judging by your "one night" comment. It's possible that he's sore from the trim, but in my experience that would only be true if the farrier didn't know what he was doing. Especially to the degree of not wanting to move.

I started noticing it the day after he got the trimmed, so I'm hoping he is just a bit sore. We've had this farrier for as long as I can remember and he has always done very well for us, but it is possible that he was a bit off his game that day. Thank you so much for this :)

I'd say he's probably sore. Give him a little while :3 Mine get the same way every now and then.

Could it be laminitis? If you've had the farrier for years I doubt that the trim is the issue, so that was the first thing to pop in my mind. Hope he feels better soon! ❤

Did he get new shoes / reset shoes?
If so I'd lean towards a hot nail.

If hes barefoot I'd lean more towards bruised soles, too short trim, coincidental abscess, or possibly a laminitic episode.

I've already ruled out laminitis, since he is only 4 years old, but it is possible. He is barefoot, so really any of those could be the case, but I am hoping something very minor.

Thank you both very much!

It also depends on how much he clipped off. If you let the horses hooves get pretty long and he had to trim alot off then they could just be tender, soft footed, for a bit and will just take a few days to harden up again.

He could definitely be sore, I've seen a lot of horses get sore for the first couple of days after. Hope he gets better! <3 Have a nice day.
