I haven't talked about Gunner a lot. But I guess i can start now.
Gunner is my best friend's 3 year old, buckskin mustang. He turned 3 on the first day of March, and was put down a week later. It's hard for me to talk about because we were gonna buy him to train him and use him in 4-H. He was like 16'1-16 hh. He was so cute and loveable. But one night he was messing around with another gelding, Rocky. Rocky was abused by the owner before them. Rocky has kicking problems and has kicked at horses, dogs (He smashed their dog's face too, they spent over $4000 in vet bills), and people. Rocky kicked at Gunner, hitting him right in the leg, it broke his leg. The break was a rare type and wasn't able to be fixed. He was in pain, and wasn't fixable, so they had to make the choice of putting him down. Gunner was the sweetest horse, his owner said that she sat there, holding his head, begging the Vet to preform Surgery. He just sat there, letting her hold him head, there was a look in his eyes, that said "It's ok, Mom, I'm a good boy, I'll be fine". They sold Rocky. And sold their horse trailer, 3 saddles, 3 bridles, 3 breast collars, their truck, and their other horse to pay off the vet bills.
Gunner you'll be loved 🐎

I'm so sorry for you, that sounds awful. It's so sad and heartbreaking to lose a horse like that, and maybe eventually you'll find another horse like him, or maybe not. But stay strong, you can PM me if you ever need to talk <3
