Hello, So I am new to this game (pointer's are welcome) I am also going to introduce my pony. He is a Dartmoor Hill Pony from the Lizwell herd, who was nearly a burger.
In 2008 he was in an auction, following on from annual Drift, he and four others were rescued from slaughter.
We got him as I'd been learning at a local Riding School for a year; I was desperate for own pony, (I was so desperate I saved up £500). So we started looking. We were looking for been-there-done-that little pony.
Somehow we came across Roley, an un- backed 4 1/2 year old pony, who had just returned from conservation grazing. I immediately fell in love with him, I refused to see any other ponies. We ended up buying him for the money I saved up.
My mum used to be extremely horsey, but suffered a really bad fall. She ended up breaking her back. Since then, she never really rode again until we got Roley. She up breaking him in herself and I was the first to sit, trot and canter on him (also the first to fall off) .
Me and Roley have learnt together, and he is an amazing little pony and I couldn't sell him ever. He also fractured his leg when he was younger, but he's grown into lovely cheeky little pony who's very strong and is actually a very good jumper! He's also very good with tight turns.
In my most recent lesson we were jumping only half a foot, but then he decided to leap it about three foot in the air! I ended up landing on his neck, he then decided he would charge around corner, in the end I did come off. Looking back now it was quite funny! I love him to bits. Questions welcome. :) Edited at November 30, 2019 03:10 AM by Oak valley

Such a sweet nose ;) Your text would be easier to read, if you´d use correct grammer and punctuation marks, please. Not all users are native English speakers, because the game has active players from almost all parts of the world ;)

Very cute boy. I learned to ride on an old been there done that TB mare that had retire from Polo. Vanda could be taken from her feed and ridden around the big pasture in a halter and rope, and she wouldn't go faster than a walk unless I asked. She was like 16.2, so to me 4 year old self, she was huge. She died around the time I was 6 and we had gotten me a QH mare to take her riding place as her health declined, but she still got the attention she was used to. Now the long we had, and still have, was an absolute brat and threw me several times on a leadline, so she just hangs around. Lilly is 19 and is raising a beautiful Palomino paint filly, but it's also a snot, so I don't know what I think of her.
