So now that I have started to jump IÂ’m realizing that I need to work on my core strength. So I need workout ideas. I already go to the gym every other day. I already do sit-ups and push ups and stuff like that.

What I do is I two-point a few laps each direction after I ride while my horse trots out

planks, squats, deadlifts, dead bugs, bird dogs, weighted windmills, hollow holds/rocks, Leg raises, L-sits etc
You're going to want to do things that encourage bracing and work on anti-rotation. You can do sit ups till the cows come home but your core is so much more than just abs. It's the whole 360 mid section. Flexion exercises will only go so far, got to add all facets.

Thanks. I donÂ’t know what half of those are but IÂ’ll google it.

Sit-ups, planks, push ups, knee ups/crunches... Army Warm-up drill, do that, followed by conditioning drill 1, 2, and 3. No need to run if you don't want to.

It helped me a lot! Came back from the Army able to jump completely tackless when before I couldn't even post the trot without a saddle xD
